A live recording of our talk at the Pacific New Media Center in downtown Honolulu.
Discussion
We presented a lunch time seminar at the University of Hawaii's Pacific New Media Center. Our intention was to begin educating the business community about the possible uses for podcasting in managing and delivering information, improving relationships with staff, vendors and customers, and taking a much more targeted approach to marketing.
As it goes, we experienced problems with our recording software, and missed the first seven minutes of the talk. We had podcasting geeks in the audience however, with hand-held recorders ready to capture the event and help us out!
So with much mahalo to Ryan Ozawa, founder of the Hawaii Association of Podcasters, we are able to present the full talk here. He has nicknamed his seven minute contribution "SushiCast" as you may hear the rumbling of a sushi box from his second row location at the seminar. Since the talk was on the unique considerations of business podcasting this will actually provide a nice contrast to recording with ambient sound versus with a hand-held microphone. Both have their place, depending on the point of your podcast. (P.S. Shane did spend some time cleaning up the file so we hope you find the transition smooth enough.)
